It's not only a Mac
When you buy a Mac you don't just buy an Apple machine — you can run Windows too. Virtualisation software gets a fully operational Windows install running on your Mac in minutes. Businesses can't afford to lose time because they've just switched and don't know how to do one specific task on a new OS, and this solves that. Try not to lean on it too long, though: in the long run you'd be missing out on the macOS features that are the core of a Mac's strength.
Security
For some, working on a computer without a third-party virus scanner running feels unnatural — but it's how things should be. macOS ships with strong preemptive security built in: Gatekeeper, XProtect, FileVault encryption and System Integrity Protection. That means no extra virus-scanner licences, no endless drive scans, and far less troubleshooting and reformatting — better value for money and improved productivity. The OS
Thanks to tight OS and hardware integration — now on Apple silicon — Apple has tuned macOS for a small, coherent product line, which means you get more out of less machine. Macs are stable, but common sense says always back up your files, and macOS has a genuinely good tool for it in Time Machine: plug in a drive and let the computer take care of everything. The learning curve is shallow, and it's addictive — you'll find it unbearable to work on a computer without Spotlight, Mission Control and Spaces.

The biggest concern for most small businesses is the productivity suite — and Microsoft 365 runs fully on Mac, so you keep Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams if you want them. macOS is Exchange-enabled out of the box, so email is handled. You also get Apple's own apps free: GarageBand for audio, QuickTime for screen recording, iMovie for video, and the iWork suite — Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Every Adobe app runs on Mac with no extra associated cost, and Mac developers have built a deep range of inexpensive, high-quality apps focused on interface and design without sacrificing usefulness.
Because of the popularity of the iPhone
Even if you don't personally have an iPhone, there's no denying it's one of the most popular business phones available. People love the connectivity, the interface and the business apps — they're user-friendly with a multitude of practical functions. If you're impressed by iPhone, you'll be blown away by Mac. And if you already own one, you'll be amazed at what you can do once it's integrated with a Mac.
